Back at it!

I have to stop doing this but It just happens and I don´t know why. But I´ll start blogging again now.

This pretty much sums up the trip in Åre. It seemed like the champagne never ended, and when I think about it. It never did!

We stayed one more day after the comp ended, cause easter made it impossible to get flights and train tickets. What to do in Åre on a sunday.... Afterski, heli ride up to the top of the mountain, Chinese downhill with Snowblades, party.

Me, Elias, Russ, Jon, Jens and Ted on top of the mountain, minutes before Red Bull Homerun went off. Talking about how we should do the race, we decided Just to have fun and go over the finish line together. As soon as we hear the gunshot It was every man for him self and first man down. It was the most sketchy thing I´ve ever done, I fellt like one of those guys running with the bulls in the street. Obviously with snowblades u don´t have as much controll as u have on regular skis and with 400 ´´bulls´´behind u I was terrified. I ended up on 108th place Witch im really happy with, actually im just happy to be alive. All and all a really fun week in Åre, and im allready looking forward to next year.

Good start, hell of an ending

Not a bad start of the day!

Yesterday we got invited to stay at a hotel and shoot lifestyle there. To be honest, and I think I speek for most of the guys, when they said ''we have internet'' we were all sold. After a week without internet u can get a little.....lost. The place was really cool though, off course this is the only pic I manage to take, but u can kinda get the drift. Rooms hanging from a cliff over a little creek in the middle of nowhere.

On the way back we stoped a couple og times just to look at the breathtaking views this place have to offer.

Fjords, montains, Alex and other shit like that.

Even and Tom on the fery. We really were tourists today.

Then all hell broke loose. We went up to the jump to fine tune it for tomorrow. Turned out the rain and the wind had totally destroyed the jump. So we spent 8 hours rebuilding it. So it better be sunny tomorrow! People are starting to talk about how to kill them selves over her.

After 2 hours of sleep we got up at 4 AM in hope to get to see that round bright thing in the sky rise over the mountains.

We made the sunrise, but it was over in a few minutes. We managed to get a couple og test jumps in when the clouds cracked for a few seconds. After one week sitting in the cabin playing cards cause there's no internet we finally got to hit it. That gave us motivation to stick it out a couple of more days! Hopefully get a couple of hours og sun tomorrow, if not, Thuesday and Wedensday is looking better!

Stranda

This picthure pretty much sums up the last four days. We have a sick feature buildt for us on top of the mountain, with a breathtaking backdrop. If you seen any of the latest Field movies you probably remember the shot's from Stranda! The only problem is the weather, it's been snowing/raining and on top of that it's wiiiindy. The forecast looks terrible for tomorrow but saturday and maybe Sunday looks good.

We got here one day earlier than everbody else so myself, Russ and Laura decided to treat ourself to a nice sushi dinner. Turns out, sushi is kinda hard to make. One thing is that it didn't look good, but it tasted worse!

That's about it for Stranda so far, tomorrow we're building a backflip kicker and we'll try to make Filip do one. Should be good!

Mega Park day 3

Little edit from yesterday. Russ has most of the shot´s since Laura decided not to film me all day. thanks. At the end you can see my first try on a dub 9, didn´t really work out as i thought. I did my first ever true dub though. We were joking around and called it the Wombat flip eventhough it's just a fliped dub 10 and someone probably has done it before. Dosen't really matter cause it's the most sketchy thing I've ever done and hopefully I will never do it again!

We were avliving on the top jump yesterday evening. We just finished shaping the jump when my binding got ripped off on a butter 3! Had to sit that one out....

For these last 4 days me and Russ has been so stoked to just go ski without no preasure from upcoming competitions. We woken up to a sunny bluebird sky every day, but behind that perfect picture thru my bedroom window I wake up to every morning a horrific wind is hiding. It´s been so windy that it pretty much has been impossible to ski.
We did haik a rail for like 15 minutes yesterday though, and russ made this edit. I stole it from www.russhenshaw.com

Season, part ||

Russ, laura, Alex, Ole and Lasse (behind the camera) Made a sweet taco/burito dinner right before we went to the movies. FYI. We watched "I am nr 4". Sick movie, at least I thought so.

Last week I was in Tignes, France for Euro X. I took it easy since it was only 3 and a half week after my knee surgery. The Weather was not cooparating, so we got little to no practice on the jumps. I ended up in 12th place. Im completely fine with that. It's kinda weird for me to say that, but I didn't go down there to win, I just wanted to ski and meet all the guys again. So it's all good, and I landed my first X-games run ever:) it only took me 5 tries.

My season is devided into 2 parts. The first part is comps comps comps. The second part is shoothing, witch can be hectic but you can do things in your own tempo. That's exactly what I need right now.

That was a little update of my life. Now we are all hanging out at my place, hopefully the wind that's been destroying our skiing settles down.

There's something about waking up early to a perfect bluebird day and driving to the hill that I really love. This is me, Lasse and Gabs doing just that!

Today, or i guess yesterday here in Norway. It's exactly 3 weeks and one day since my operation and I was able to ski pretty hard today. I was afraid landing forward and backseat would be a problem but turns out it isn't. I feel something sometimes, not pain, just a feeling in my knee that reminds me that im hurt. This is enough for me to put the breaks on and not ski 100%.
After a little early morning shred tomorrow I hop on a plane to Tignes tomorrow for Euro X. Im gonna ski, but since my knee is.... Whatever it is, and I don't really have the big tricks diealed right now. Im Going down there just to have fun and put together a chill run. Hopefully the first run I land at the X-games! This will be my fourth X-games apearance and im yet to land a run!!!!!

Remember this guy? Espen Linnerud is back in biz. Look out for his banger comeback part in the new fieldprod movie dropping this fall. Going to be sick!!!

Skiing again

Thursday I had my first day back on skis after my operation. Just started out with some turns and straight airs over the smallest jumps but I get to go out in the snow and breathe some fresh air. The knee isen't a 100 % but after all it's only two weeks since the operation.

This weekend I went to Kongsberg to judge a big air competition. This brought back some good memories cause I won this very comp 6-7 years ago where I won an invite to Red Bull big air in Åre.

Judging isen't easy. It's very hard to put score's on every trick and try to keep it consistent. We were three judges. After the competition I was looking over the scoreboard, and the judging was terrible. The guys said that my judging was pretty much on point so that's good. But a lot of guys got screwed pretty bad. One example is Alex Aurdal who did he's best dub 10 ever. Pretty much perfect. I gave him a 94, the headjudge gave him a 86 or something and the third judge gave him a 76.

At the end it was one guy on top, and his name is Thomas Dølplads. i think it's he's fifth time winning this comp in a row. He skied really well!

When I went up to Åre for JOSS last year I had a broken collar bone. obviously I couldn´t ski and neither did colby, so this video brought back a lot of good memories from pretty much the funiest week of my life. It´s mainly Jon and Colby´s video but I know that if my skiing goes to shit I have something to fall back on. Bartending....... I rather ski though.

surgery - success

Still kicking everybodys ass in ping pong. even on crutches!

I had surgery two days ago. I decided to take care of my MCL now, eventhough I could ski, jump and do tricks I couldn´t ski 100% and what´s the point of that?
The surgery went really well. First of all I haven´t done any painkillers since the operation, no pain at all. Only two days after the surgery Im walking fine without my crutches.
The Doctor said I could ski after two weeks, of course when he says ski he dosen´t mean going off a 20 meter long jump doing all kind of spins and flips. But im posetive this won´t take a lot of time, im aiming for Euro X witch is a little under a month away. Sounds a little to good to be true, but let´s cross our fingers and hope for the best.

Tomorrow im going to Oslo for an exciting meeting. Can´t tell u more at this point, but im excited.

Im currently sitting in the waiting room at the hospital to get an MRI of my knee. Im pretty sure I have a tare in my MCL. Just have to figure out exactly whats wrong, so I can get it treated.

Happy new year. Im completely aware that I haven't Posted anything since the 12. Of december. This is a mix of lazyness and not having internett. I may have told u this or maybe not, but I bought a house. Ever since I got back before christmas I have been moving in and working on getting it looking pimp as. Here´s a video from the first day at Keystone. It´s been shit weather since then, but we have skied every day. Im working on my right side spins for the moment. It´s so hard, but it´s kinda fun doing tricks you can´t do.
Since I ski so many contests thru the season I feel like I have to work on my contest tricks every time I go skiing and you kinda forget about the other tricks and know that spinning both ways has become such a big part of the sport I feel that I have to be better at it. Anyways, Dew Tour is coming up in a few days and I have like four tricks to learn so I hope we will get some sunny days before that time.

After Two days without any bags I finally got to go ski. We made our way over to Keystone on this perfect bluebird day. Me, Bobby, Martini and russ were pretty much the first persons up there and had perfectly groomed jumps. Personaly I had a mellow day just getting used to the jumps, but Russ and Bobby didn´t have the same mindset. doubles on the third run, rightside doubles and other crazy shit like that. It´s kinda drepessing skiing with those guys.

Russ got a new hat on Wallmart. Fits him perfectly.

After we got back from the hill I spent 4 hours watching Lasse and Russ play COD. I was bored out of my mind witch resulted in me cleaning the apartment, for people that knows me that says a lot. When Colby got home we went to dinner (just me and Colby) after dinner we went to see Tanners movie. We we´re probably gone for like 4 hours, when we came back they were still playing. Addicted retards.

A run thru the park here in hafjell, there´s a couple of more rails on the side, but this is the line we skied all day. Of course I managed to screw up the last rail.... whatever, not like it´s a X-games winning run anyways.

As you can see it´s just the small park that´s up and running, but that´s actually perfect for me. Cause now I have some days to get used to spinning right side before I go to Keystone. in the beginning it was even uncomfertable looking over my right shoulder when I was skiing switch, so I guess it´s good to start small. It was a lot of fun though, sun was shining, my buddy Steffen Hamre was there, fast laps and good snow. not much more I can ask for.

Yesterday we had another session on the Jump. I haven´t done anything bigger than a 9 cause I can´t figure the jump out. I don´t know what it is, but the speed is really hard to get right. It´s qualifyers tonight. 32 skiers, 16 moves on to the finals. It´s hard to say how it´s gonna go for me since im not feeling to good on this jump. Hopefully I can figure it out and land 2 good tricks. The format is 3 jumps best 2 counts. Wish me good luck :)

Today was sick. we woke up early, skied for a bit, went back to the hotel and chilled till the night session was on. the park here is pretty sick. At least to be this early, a good park in Norway is pretty much unheard of before christmas/new years.

We got to try out the Big jump today, It seemed like a really good jump but it was hard to get to comfertable today cause it was a bit windy. But if the wind settle down I think shit will go down.

Tomorrow is another day. im waiting for a cannon G11 camera that I think will come tomorrow so I´ll try to give u some pics.

This weekend didn´t turn out to be as good as I hoped. Oscar told me saturday morning that I was up against Andreas in the first battle, so allready then I knew that it was a good chance that I was going out in the first run. And that´s exactly what happend. Andreas skied really well though, He just learned a new grab variation in practice. I guess it´s dub mute to octo or something crazy like that. So beeing beaten by Andreas wasen´t that huge of a dissapointment.

im gonna keep this short cause im just about to get in the car and drive to Trysil. The Sweet Rumble jump will be ready tomorrow so we get to session it all week. Being able to hit a jump on a real hill with real snow sure is gonna feel good right now.

Lasse were'nt that happy that we went to the airport one day too early. We had to buy a new ticket since we booked the first one for monday, not sunday!

I drove to Kim's place in sweeden yesterday, I heard they had a pretty good jump so why not! The jump is very icy today and really not that good, so im just shooting the other guys for their new Shred'n breakfast episode. Coming soon!

Qualification

This is the only pic I managed to take today! Nice sunset over the town though.

Today was qualifyers, like yesterday the whole thing got delayed, but after a couple of hours it was practice time! Speed was an issue during practice. i made it over the knuckle, actually I landed sweetspot every time, but since the jump is so small we need to go a little bigger than that to have enough time to do your trick. At least I have to.
Of course they salted the inrun in between the practice and the qualification. Of course that was really good for me since I needed more speed, but it was kinda scary to do the first ten when I wasen't sure what the speed was like! I was the sixth person to drop, so I kinda got a feel of the speed by watching the people before me. I hear the starter calling my name, here we go, 5 seconds later im at the bottom riding out of a dub 10! After all the contests over the years u devolope a pretty good feel of what u have to do make it in to finals or win for that matter. After I landed the 10 and watching all the other guys in practice i was pretty much a 100% sure I was in the finals! I was right. Qualified third after Russ and Elias.

Tomorrow is semi-finals and finals. Three jumps, two best counts and the two jumps have to be different of course. This meaning that I have to land switch, this is something im not looking forward to. Im way more worried about the transition at the bottom than the trick itself! So tomorrow I can maybe place pretty good or get last place. Time will show!

Budapest - Fridge

Tourists in Budapest!

Red Bull is hooking us up big time down here. Today they took us to a ''thermal bath''. A place where they had like a million pools and other pimp shit like that!

Oscar really wanted to go for a massage, but we talked him out of it.

After the bath they took us to the oldest and pimpest resturant in Budapest. It was really ''expensive'', funny thing is that a main course was the same prize as a pizza in Norway! But you can't really compare anything to Norway though, Norway is way to expensive. This resturant was about 8 times more expensive than an regular resturant down here, and the food was amazing!

At 2 o'clock it was time for practice!

4 hours later it was on:) yeah, it got delayed quite a bit! The Jump was far from perfect and the landing was really soft. One guy managed to land switch cause of the transition at the bottom! Lolo Favre was the guy, he's stroooong! Hopefully they do what we told them to do for tomorrow and make it better.

Last I want to say to the ladies of Budapest, Ur HOT!! This is me falling in love with 9 dancer chicks, They were ok dancers as well:)

Home sweet home, good bye

I can feel now that im getting my old lifestyle back. Traveling all over the world, come home for a couple og days and then back at it! It's a little stressfull at times, living in a bag. But it's all worth it.

Winter is here in Norway. We don't have any natural snow yet but the temperature has dropped below zero so it's just a question of time. I did get to do some rails when I was home though. The Field Production rail jam came to Lillehammer this weekend. I knew I had no shot at even placing top 5, but it was fun, and really scary. Im more of a ''box-fun'' guy rather than single bar rails down stairs and crazy shit like that! Like I expected crazy good kids was throwing down all day. I found myself not being able to land any tricks in the final so I just took of my skis and helmet and watched the show, witch was crazy! I guess Wallisch was right, 450's is the new 270's.

At the afterparty a bunch of my friends from the band ''sixty pieces of gum'' was playing! Really funny to see them just going bananas on stage with car tires, christmas trees and a chainsaw!

Speaking of getting my old lifestyle back. Im on the train to the airport, im going to Budapest. It's another incity big air. I don't know if it's the first time they have it, I haven't heard about it before. Im pretty stoked to go Budapest, I never been before, I heard it's a really cool town and im there for 5 days so I actually have time to take a look around. Anyone been there before? Any tips of what I should go check out?

London update and gym edit

A gym edit from 3 weeks ago.

After a weekend in London I left the capital of England with a 7th place. Not a super good result, but after practice on saturday and sunday I have no choice to be happy with it. I had such bad practices that I seriously considered dropping out of the event. The jump was pretty small so I didn´t have time to get a grab on my 10. I kept landing on the second line in the landing witch was the sweet spot of the jump, but I had to go bigger if I wanted a chance to make it around. After a short break it was time for the first run to ty to qualify into semi-finals. I had nr 1 on my jersey and was the first one to drop. I tried to get as much speed as possible and what the starter on top forgot to tell me and shared with the rest of the guys right after I drop is that they have salted the inrun. As a result I landed like 5 feet past the last line in the landing.
of course I eat shit, but I landed my second run and made it thru. Semi-finals was head to head with 2 runs, best one counts. Kind of a weird format. I met PC Fosse in the first battle, He fell on both his runs so I made it thru to the top 8. Next up is Russ Henshaw. Im up first, I hit something on the take off but still manage to get it around to ten, A really bad ten tough. Russ falls on a sw dub 10. Second round, I do probably the best 10 of my weekend, and russ lands a sick sw dub 9. I get scored a 84, the same score as my first jump something I find a little weird, Russ get´s a 85 and moves on.
That was my experience of the London Freeze 2010. Not the best comp I´ve ever done, but I´ll take it.

Hintertux

I been in Hintertux without any internet for the last two weeks, that´s why I haven´t been able to update every day.

Hintertux was fun. didn´t get to do as much skiing as we wanted to. The first day was the best day we had, but the first day is always a warm up day. We got many sunny days, but the wind started picking up. We had to ski in a strong tail wind every day. It was skiable but a little sketchy, you could go big the first run and knuckle the next one.
Not the conditions you want to learn new tricks in.

Since we didn´t have internet we had to do other things. My two main night activities was Poker and Ping Pong. The first week we lived with the Danish camp I went down to france to coach this summer. I did pretty good in poker and other than being crushed by a 12 year old in ping pong I did OK there as well.

The plan was to make an edit from Hintertux, but since we never got enough skiing and the lap time on the lift was pretty long we never got time.

Winter is getting close here in Norway and there is a railjam at the bottom of Hafjell today. I tried it out yesterday, 4 hour railsesh. So much fun. Wish I could be a part of the railjam today, but im going to Oslo and leaving for London Tomorrow.

To answer your question about HH. They kicked everybody, and by that I mean everybody. My contract expires in December so it looks like im going to start the new year without any clothing sponsor. So my 6-7 year relationship with HH is over.

Hey guys, been a while!

Everytime I go home I quite blogging, that's beacause it's nothing to do at home, nothing to do = nothing to write about!

I'll give u a recap of what i've been up to when I did'nt play FIFA in my bed! Been to a couple of premiers. This is all of the guys before the Field and MSP premiere in Oslo! No more pics from that night, at least no one I can put up!

The day after I met up with Filip to do a interview.
We where both off our game, u can probably guess why. It also did'nt help that I think Filip is the funniest guy ever so I laugh every time I look at him. Filip seriously spent half an hour setting "the studio up", putting the camera on the tripod and a chair infront of it. Let's just say it did'nt go well. We got it done though...... sort of.

His girlfriend was kind enough to cook us some food, and we had a nice little dinner!

Entertainment is a must if u want to be a good host. Filip plugged in his Iphone in the stereo and ran thru is new I am T-pain songs, some of them was suprisingly good and really funny!

The last few weeks after that contained of more Boring days at home untill a couple of days ago.
Decided to go down to Hintertux, Austria. Wen't to Oslo a day before I left, went to a stand up show, did some gymnastics (edit coming soon) and I walked my friend's bad ass pit bull fight dogs!

Ok, maybe they aren't the badest of dogs, but they are really cute!

On our way down to Hinterux, Aleks Aurdal and Lasse Nyhaugen joined the trip!

We landed in munich, rented a car and went downtown munich! It's probably one the coolest citys in the world with a bunch of cool buildings and stuff like that...... That's the only pic I took! Im glad I did though, turned out to be the best meal I've ever had. If you ever go to munich, find 'Block steaks' and order a Rumpsteak! My mouth get's watery just thinking about it.

Time for bed, hopefully some skiing tomorrow.

I don't have a lot og time before we have to Get on the bus to the jump, so im just gonna bang out a quik one! Yesterday consisted of a lot of waiting, it was heavy rain all day, everything got delayed by two hours and wasen't 100% on! Eventually we had an hour practice. It was pretty much up to us the riders if we wanted to do qualifiers yesterday or if we should do
everything tomorrow! Did'nt look good at the beginning of the practice but then it dermed like everyone started to feel it so we went thru with it! Both me and Andreas qualified so we're stoked! I did my first dub 10 in forever, can't remember Last time I was that scared! Worked out fine though!

Last night was the crossover session. Top 8 from each sport did two jumps and then decided who was gonna be the four who would fight for the title! Since my jet lag kocked in a little late I was beat, I just wanted to do one thing and that was going to bed! I did'nt put up much of a fight to be in the last 4! Andreas, Simon, Elias and Tom was the ''lucky ones''. They killed it! We pretty much won every round! Wallisch won the whole thing and he deserved it! Sickest dub back and sw back i've vet seen!

Zürich

Just coming back from NZ on wedensday I tried my best to beat the jet lag, and it worked! Fell asleep at 11 and woke up at 7ish both wedensday and thursday. As I've made my way down to Zurich I come to learn that the Jet lag witch I though I had beaten just was waiting for the right time to kick in!
As I lay in my bed in my hotel room at 6.30 and been up for 3
hours allready. In the darkness I can hear from the other side of the room that my roomate Mr. Håtveit is having a great night sleep!
Meanwhile Im just laying her with no batery on my mac and less than 10% on my Iphone waiting for the sun to rise and breakfast!

when we arrived Zurich we went thru the registration, got settled in our room and then hung out in the reception/bar! A lot of tired and jet lagged people was just sitting there, not even talking that much. Just trying as hard as they could to stay awake! At 6.30 we went to dinner with Red Bull, thanks for the amazing food.

At 10 there was a welcoming/rider intro party that we stoped by for like an hour! Everybody being tired went to bed at 11ish to try to be all rested up and fit for fight tomorrow! Myself im just gonna try to survive the day.

Before i Finish up this post and prepare to stare at the wall for 2 hours I just want to congratulate Elias Ambuhl getting on the Red Bull team just last night during dinner! Stoked for u and welcome to the family!

Home sweet home

After 37 relatively quik hours I found myself in Norway, Øyer, Home.
After a disasterous trip to NZ I can´t find any words that explaines how good it is to be home. 37 hours is a long time to travell alone but I have to say this trip was uneventfull and quik. I don´t think I waited on a airport more than an hour, witch is really good.
Immediatly after I got home and got something to eat. I went down to the golf course to play a tournement witch they host every wedensday. I won..... No big deal!!!

Alltough it´s really good to be home Im afraid the joy quikly comes to an end. Tomorrow I leave for Zurich, freeslyle.ch. Im looking forward to this event, It´s always a lot of fun, a bunch of spectators and a good show. Skiingvise I can´t say im completely ready. Since we only got 3 days of good skiing in NZ and on those days we only skied rails. I´ve have to say that my jumping game isen´t where it should be!

Close but no cigar

After a 5 star dinner with the Mcdougals (family we are staying with) last night we got a phone call from Jon. He said we had a window of good weather coming in so we decided to give the jump on last shot. We were determined to give it our best and get something done so we didn´t leave NZ completely emty handed. This is probably my fourth time in my life waxing my skis, at least that I can remember. It was an interesting/boring experience
Thnx to Bruce Wells for the wax and the quik waxing lesson.

We got up at 6 AM, went up to the hill, sat in the lodge for like 2 hours cause the ski patrol had to bomb the hill for avalanches. When we finally got on the second lift to go to the jump, our good spirit was chrushed like a water mellon hitting a chick in the face after a slingshot backfire. It was so windy, I actually can´t belive they opened the lift in those conditions. At that point we were pretty much ready to go down, but we had to ski by the jump anyways and it turned out that a big ridge sheltered it from the wind so it wasen´t that bad at all. The big problem was that every minute a huge gust would make it´s way to the jump and that´s pretty much the most sketchy conditions to ski in. Every wind condition is fine as long as it´s consistent. Getting a huge gust right in your face on the take off is not exactly what you are looking for hitting a jump of this size, especially when speed is allready an issue. Alltough it was terrible conditions Jon maned up and hit it first. He overshot by.... probably 10 meters. he was fine though. I maned up after a couple of more speed checks and landed mid knuckle, second time I went a little further but still knuckled. Colby did the smart thing and just said ´´fuck it´´cause he couldn´t really get speed. Jon hit it a couple of more times until the wind caught him and landed him on the knuckle as well. So once again, this shoot and NZ gives once again a huge dissapointment.

New zealand trip - fail

A couple of days ago... I guess 4-5 days ago, not really keeping track of days and dates down here. We went up to Treble Cone to shoot Jon´s kicker. 6 AM wake up, raced the sun up to the hill and made it up to a beautifull sunrise. Everything was looking good.

Something that´s starting to be an ugly habit, Jon showed up in a Helicopter. So we took pics so we would look cool to..

After probably a hundred speed checks we finaly pulled the plug. What was starting out as a perfect session fast became an utter dissapointment. Due to new really slow snow we didn´t get speed. no one of us didn´t even try it. It was kinda funny, after 5 hours of speed checking, trying to get the speed to get over the gap. We figured out that if we´re only trying to make it over the gap it´s not worth it to try cause we still had like 10 meters left to the landing. So basicly we called it a day.

So since that seemed to be the only window with nice weather. It looked pretty dark for the rest of this trip. When we found out that the biggest storm on the planet we´re coming in we decided to try to get the hell out of here. That didn´t work so we been stuck indoors since then. we did manage to get some tennis in though.

Wanna go home!

TC Kicker

Mr. Jon Olsson was kind enough to invite me to session the kicker that he´s building here in TC, NZ. So I went up there to meet up with him and finishing buliding the kicker.
We didn´t get it all done, but after one more day of building tomorrow it will be all set. What we come to expect after all these years is if Jon put´s his name on a jump it´s pretty much going to be a perfect jump, And this one is no exception. It´s a 25 meter from kicker to knuckle and a 3 meter step up! It´s big, but it looks like a lot of fun.

You can also see it´s a pretty banger backdrop!

There was these really cool birds called ´´Kia´´. I tried to get a cool shot but it didn´t work out that well. They are really cool though, they look like parrots and when they spread their wings you see a bunch of colors.

Up early tomorrow for a session at Cardrona and then back up to TC to get the kicker done!

Airbag fun

We hit the Airbag a couple of days ago! Alltough it was really small it was a lot of fun. Hit it like 6 times then we got kinda over it cause you had to huck everything you had to do doubles. I did a double flat, that didn´t work out that well,
a switch Bio 9. Belive it or not I never done that before, at least not on purpose. Turns out that trick is really simple. I did land on my skis on the airbag though, something I don´t reccomend, I just flew right over the aribag and landed on my head on the other side. I also did a sw double, you can see my second try on the clip above and it felt pretty good, just a little to small to make it all the way around.

I haven´t been able to document these last couple of days beacause I lost my phone. But turns out I just left it at Jossi´s house and he found it. So stoked, my trip back to Norway would suck without my iphone.

Looks like it´s gonna be another down day here in NZ.
woke up to grey skys and rain splashing on the window. The last couple of days
actually been prety good though. Yesterday we tried out the airbag up at Snowpark, the jump was pretty small so we could barely get any doubles around but it was fun.
Since it seems like there´s alot of time to kill outside of skiing here in Wanaka,
we been golfing and playing tennis alot.

Soooo, been a while! Let's just call it a summer vacation and skip the excuses;p

After a beautiful flight in to Queenstown and a 45 minute drive I found myself in Wanaka! Been her for 2 days and I have cabin fever allready! The weather hasen't been that great so me and my roomate, Mr Colby J West have spent many hours infront of our computers!

Computer time, and not to happy about it.

We flew over Cardrona on our way in, you can see the resort on the top left side! Looks like they had a pretty nice day.

We picked up Drew ''fatman'' lederer today, he will be our filmer for the next couple of weeks! So hopefully if the weather get's better we can spit out some edits!

Allthough the weather sucks it seems like we came at the right time!

After I got home from france I went straight to Hamar to visit Kim Boberg! I Beate that the forecast said sun and he had just purchased a brand new pool! Wasen't quite what I expected, but Kim seemed to enjoy himself!

Kim BBQ'ing a nice dinner for us! Allthough the pool was kind og a let down it ended up being a very nice night!

After being home for a couple of days I found my way down to Kragerø (one of the most popular vacation places in Norway!

At the camp down in Les 2 alps we had a nice BBQ the last night. I put my skis somewhere up that hill and started a race for my skis. Pretty funny to watch all the kids running up that very steep hill like they running for their life!

Sorry for the lack of updates, I've been in france with no internett. As I said, I went down to les 2 alps for a Danish Red Bull ski camp. The skiing wasen't that good cause it was way to warm down there! But it was a fun place and a bunch of activities to do!

I tried out mountain biking for the first time, pretty fun sport but if I start doing it I'll probably kill myself! We played tennis, ping pong, soccer and soccer tennis. So a lot of fun things to do down there!

A nice steak dinner on top of the mountain!

Phil Casabon showed up and joined us for a couple of days with his girlfriend!

The best part about this place was deffinately the balcony. So nice to come down from the hill, take off all the warm wet clothes, sit down and just lounge in the sun!
So all in all a really nice trip!

Drove home from juvass for the weekend. But now im back at Juvass! Even Sigstad witch is the parkshaper this year did some work on the jumps last night, and he did a great job! They got three sick jumps in a line and bunch of rails. All and all a really fun park! For me it's going well, My ankle is holding up just fine. Im trying my best not to push it and stick with the simple tricks so I don't mess it up again!

Im really bad at having my phone on me up here so I miss to document all the fun things we're doing up here. But usually after the hill it's either sk8ing, volleyball or soccer. We had a volleyball tournament yesterday and a soccer tournament today. Im happy to inform that my team (coaches) won both. Allthough I failed to take pics og this I got a pretty cool app called Hipstamatic
that turns photo's into a old school form!

Juvass 2

Today was a grey day on the glacier. We skied for a bit, judged a contest for the kids and then went down! To be honest I couldn't really ski that much cause my body was so sore, I guess you use alot of muscles skiing that you don't use in your average day!

I left my ignition on all they so this is the guys trying to get my car back to life! It worked, I made it back home. The forecast wasen't that good and I felt like my body could use the rest so I went home for the wekend. Driving back up on monday though.

Juvass

I had my first day on skis in a while. Broke my collar bone like 4 months ago, and I twisted my ankle 3 weeks ago! That happened right after my collar bone healed up, just started to feel good again, started skating and doing all the active things I usually do. I was a happy man untill I twisted my ankle skateboarding. So now im trying out a new tactic. Instead of waiting for it to heal 100 % I'll just try to be active and push it back to health, not over push it though!

After a long day at the hill, myself, Daniel Ek, Andreas Wiig and Frode Sanbech fired up the grill and had the sickest BBQ ever!!

Perfect day on skis, only one thing to do to finish it off. BBQ and a couple of beers!

Me, my two sisters and both parents went to my parents apartment in spain for my mom's 50th birthday!

We live 200 meters from a golf course so today I took my clubs for the first swing of the year. The golf course is designed by the legend Jack Nicklaus so let's just say it was over decent! Actually I spent more time in the desert and tall grass than I did on the course, but it looked nice.
Before our evening golfing adventure, we spent the day at the pool. I challenged my sister to a taning competition...... Elise's skin: golden brown. PK's skin: RED!!!!! Let's see if the sun is more nice tomorrow!

Got back from Hemsedal yesterday. Back to a ordinary life, working out, eating healthy. im sorry to inform that my goldfish is now dead! His name was Per, he was a great goldfish. People gave him two days before he would die with me as an owner, but he proved everyone wrong! While I were celebrating my life as an 21 year old, Per was Home fighting for his life. He lived 4 days under my supervision, that's twice as long that the doubtfull people I call my friends gave him. And for that reason he was the greatest, strongest and bravest goldfish that ever lived. RIP Per, you wil be greatly missed!

Since my phone decided to take a vacation this was the only photo I got from sweden.

Came back from Åre two days ago. Sorry I didn't keep you updated I just didn't have time, and since I couldn't ski I didn't make it up to any of the jumps. Eventhough I didn't get any skiing action I had a great time with my room mate's Colby, LoLo, mike tom and Elias, he lived one floor under me but he was there when I went to sleep and when I woke up. So I guess I just want to thank everybody for a great week! Especially thanks to Jon for putting on such a great event!

Now I just have to get rid of my cold and then go in rehab mode. Training, diet and get my shoulder sorted out!

This can sum up my life as a helpless one armed skier. Im just glad I can hold the controller, If not my days would be very long and very boring. I can actually feel my shoulder is getting better though. Today I got out of bed all by my self at least. I thought 2-3 months rehab time, like the doctors told me sounded like a really long time so I asked Wallisch today, cause I remembered he broke his collorbone a couple og years back. He told me he was back on skiis after 2-3 weeks and was throwing legit tricks after 4-5 weeks. So I guess it's not gonna take 3 months to heal. Just have to wait and see, time Will show.

First of all I want to congratulate Pekka, Frido and the winner Klaus Finne! Everybody skied sick yesterday at the BYB big air.

Me, SigTveit and Elvis Harsheim judged yesterday.
I was a judge because i injured my shoulder during the railjam. After getting some X-rays today I found out that my colarbone is broken. It's pretty painfull, today I couldn't get out of bed without help. 2-3 months rehab time, meaning my season is over. Struggeling coming back from my neck injury last year, busted up ankle all year I finally fellt like I was getting a hang of it again and then this happens! Im really tired of beiing injured and I was really looking forward to Joss and all the spring skiing. So this sucks!

Im forced to drop out of the team for JOSS so they have to find a another one to replace me.

One armed bandit

Yesterday at the candy railjam I came of a rail a little wrong and ended up straight on my face. I also banged my shoulder pretty bad. I could lift and move it pretty good right afterward, but when I was trying to take my sweater off I heard a loud snap, and it hurt pretty bad for like 30 seconds.

I went to the doctor and he didn't think anything was broken or anything. We scheduled for a x-ray early this morning, I managed to drag myself out of bed, get in the car, drive about 50 meters in the new snow and then I got stuck. Turned off the engine and went straigt back to bed. So I have to try to get an x-ray tomorrow instead.

We had a session on the jump on top of the mountain yesterday and a night session on the rail set ups. it was suppose to be qualifiers on that jump today but it was way to windy, so we just had another session on the rails instead. I decided to find my camera and shoot a little, turns out Im not made for being behind the camera so I got tired of shooting after like 15 minutes. I managed to get some fun stuff and I put it together for you guys. Not much but it gives you an idea of what we´re doing here.

I can see out the window now that the qualifiers have started on the Backyard Booter instead of the jump on top of the mountain so I should probably start thinking about getting out there.

Not much really happens in this small town of mine, but it's nice to see when it does it's something with skiing. Railjam, downtown øyer. A lot of people showed up both participated and watched.

Nico D and Amiral P had a concert afterwards! They Play Reagae and they are sooo sick. They made the outtro song for "eyes wide open" and they had a nr 1 hit in the birthplace of reagae, Jamaica. That means they'r pretty legit!

I woke up to a pretty grey day. Spent the morning debateing if I was going skiing or not Witch should'nt be anything to sit and wounder about. But last time I was skiing in Hafjell it was like -25 celsius and really shitty light when the the sun wasen't out. Then it occured to me! I'ts almost spring. So i got my skigear on and headed up. Sure enough, it was about 0 degrees, kinda slushy, the sun peaked out alitte bit between the clouds and I bumped into a couple of friends like the guy in the pic. Turned out to be an Asesome day, just messing Around with underflips and all that fun stuff. I actually got really bummed when I found out that the park is closed tomorrow to make it ready for a snowboard comp on saturday. Oh well.

After the hill we went to Kim's place for a Taco and board game night.

Alias - party edition. Greatest game ever.

Yeah, it's pretty fun. Don't gonna explaine the whole game, but it's a game with words and it makes it a lot better to Play with a Sweedish person. Go Kim.

Im Back home in Norway after a intense week at Euro X. The week turned out to be pretty fun, the course got a lot better after our input and advice so the course was actually pretty fun to ski. I placed 10th, 2 spots behind a final spot. Even though I didn´t make finals Im not completely disappointed. We had 2 runs, my 1st run was pretty basic. I just tried to keep it smooth and simple. I was really happy with my run.... until the last jump.... since speed was an issue with the last jump I was gonna end my run with a simple sw 10 mute, probably the most basic trick in skiing, after a sw 7 mute, but I hooked my ski in the take off and lost control. I stomped it but I had absolutely no grab what so ever. So I messed up pretty bad, but I wasen´t that far back. If I grabbed Im pretty sure I would be in the finals. 2nd run, I fell in the trap of the six jumps in one course. Did a small speedcheck where I shouldn´t had and because of that came up a little short. So yeah, not stoked at all but also not that disappointed either. I can really feel the almost year long break I had but im getting there, Slowly but surely.

Practice day 1

Today was the second day of practice, or the first one for me. They had done some major changes with the course, and I guess after what I heard it was a little better. The course contains of two rails and six jumps.... yes SIX jumps, it´s crazy and it kinda sucks, especially when not one single jump is good. The main problem, that people was working on figuring out was speed. The speed is really weird and the course has no flow at all. The second jump you have to straightline and you probably still land on the knuckle, You can actually stop after the third one and still get enough speed for the fourth and with wind changing every run it makes it really hard. Im just gonna say it, The course is really bad. ´´This is the worst course I have ever skied´´ Is a quote I have heard from a lot of skiers both yesterday and today. I guess that pretty much sums it up. we have practice for 1 hour tomorrow and 45 minutes before qualis on thursday, No idea how it´s gonna go. not feeling it at all.

Arrived Tignes late last night. met up with Elvis Harsheim and Oscar Harlaut witch Im staying with. They were stuck at the bus station at the town below so with my brilliant charm I convinced her to pick them up. We went up to the town we were staying at, found our place, but we had no key!!! Elvis had talked to the lady he rented the place from who didn´t speak english. She said we had to go left, and then left, there we will find a boat where she had hidden the key. Obviously we didn´t find a boat in the middle of the french alps so we just ended up walking the streets for two hours in a desperate hope we would find a key. off course we didn´t find the key in the streets, what we did find thoug was a nice guy who tried his best to help us. Walked around town trying to find a booking agency that wasen´t closed..... nope.... after a good 4 hours freezing cold on the streets this guy offers us to stay at his place. Three complete strangers he just met. felt a little weird to just stay with a guy you didn´t know, but it was either that or freezing to death. So Russ (I belive his name was) thank you very much, your a hell of a guy.

Woke up this morning, soooo tired since we didn´t get any sleep. checked into our place, at that time the practice was mid way thru so we decided to chill today and rest up for tomorrow. didn´t seem like we missed anything though. according to the guys who skied the course was terrible. They said they had to change everything if they wanted this comp to work so I guess it´s a brand new course tomorrow.

Yesterday I drove back home from Andreas's place, packed my bags, slept, got in the car this morning and drove to the airport. Now im ready to board my flight to France for the European X-games. Exited to see if we can find our way from the airport to tignes!!

Way 2 many laps

I AM BEAT! Me and Andreas skied for 4 hours today And probably got just as much skiing done as you do for 4 days in a regular ski resort! the lap time for the 2 jumps at the skiresort is awesome, or it's perfect. You get on the lift right after you land And get off on top of the inrun for the first one. The railine we hit ten times each and then switch towing eachother up with the skidoo! So yeah, a lot of intense skiing = tired And sore back!

How we do at the Håtveit

After a quik stop by the Red Bull office I got in the car energized and ready for the drive up to the Håtveit's. After 5 hours on a narrow road in the middle of the woods, it suddenly opens up and I could see some lights in the distance, the lights got brighter for every meter. When I got close enough I see a inrun between to big towers going into a huge jump, beside the jump is a sick rail line. All of this was in the middle of a small town of condos. It looked F'ing sick. The jump wasen't completely shaped so we just sessioned the railline for a couple of hours. My railgame was a little rusty but a couple of days on that line I think I'll be allright!

The Håtveits has a pretty nice set up going on here, not only the private park in the backyard. They have a hotel and a bunch of really cozy condo's. They hooked me up with this condo where I live by my self. It's good to have a little space to relax after a hard day at the hill. So thanks Håtveit's, really apreciate it!!!

Im really stoked on my first win of the season, and it was in my home resort so that made it so much better. My new life goal is to beat Jon Olsson at the 2014 olympics. but I guess we have to wait 4 years to see how that turns out.
Im in Oslo right now, getting ready to leave for Sudndalen to visit Andreas. as some of you might know he has a pretty sweet set up in his backyard so Im stoked to shred with him for a week. European X-games is closing up so it´s about time to get some real skiing down.

Back in Norway!

After a month and a half in the US I have to say it´s good to be back in Norway. I´ve only been home since friday and been struggling a harsh Jet lag. On sunday I fell asleep at 11 AM, woke up at 12 AM and couldn´t sleep before the next night. It´s so weird coming from America to Norway, you´r like tired all day long and bright awake at night.

The last week in Breck wasen´t that good, we had one day with allright weather so we didn´t get to shoot that much for the edit. but I got a couple of shots cruising Park Lane (medium park in breck). this will get up as fast as I get final cut back witch I lost when I left my Mac behind at Denver airport. Yeah, I don´t want to talk about it.

Hey guys!

Im back in Breck after a Weekend in Aspen for the X-games.
As some of you may have seen on TV or internet, I wasen´t completely ready to compete. Too little skiing and a sore ankle. Know im back in Breck, ankle is getting back on track after the little twist I got during X big air. Not much to tell besides that.

Ok, I have a video for you. this is my buddy Jonny who Im staying with in Breck right know. I brought my camera out on a party in Aspen. We found a clip that we thought was hilarious. just imagine how long that guy had been sitting there to lure the fox into his hands.

And I don´t mean me not blogging for like a month, event though I am truely sorry for that.
I don´t know what it is but when im not skiing I just stop blogging as well. but im gonna try to get a grip now.

Allright, quik recap of what I´ve done since my last post. I went back home for Christmas. We had some snow issues so the park got up pretty late and when it got up it wasen´t built till it´s fullest potential. Allthough I didn´t do that much skiing during christmas I did manage to sprain my ankle. It got so much better so fast so I thought it was one of those one week injuries, so I packed my bags and headed over to Colorado. after almost a month in the US and 2 days on skis I can see now that it wasen´t.

Now Im in Aspen for the X-games, and what I mean by the headline for this post is that it happened a lot since I got hurt.
So much sick skiing going on. and since I´ve had like 3 good days of skiing the last 10 months (I actually counted the months today) all the guys are a little out of my league right now. And my ankle is´nt really a 100% yet, it hurt´s a bit when I do rails and big sw spins. But im glad to be here, meeting all the guys that I haven´t seen for almost a year and just having a great time.

Tomorrow is qualifyers and I think I did one trick today at practice that im planing of doing in my run, so I Can´t really see me coming near of qualifying. But the moral about this story is to have a super fun time, all the time - quote Eric Cartman.

Last I wan´t to give a shout out to Bobby Brown. dub cork 12 to sw dub misty 12. sickest thing I´ve ever seen. clearly a favorite with Andreas and Tom

Got back from Vierli on sunday, we had a great trip. The park was really fun and is probably the best park in Norway right now this early in the year. This was also my first time Jumping since my injury so it was good to see that I haden´t lost all of my tricks, actually did some tricks I´ve never done before. Enjoy

Im currently in Norway...... somewhere. The only thing I know is that the place is called Vierli. There´s basicly nothing here exept a small ski resort. That´s not a bad thing though. This is probably the best option for skiing we have in Norway this early in the year and the owner is super cool. Makes us whatever we want and really apreciate our input on things. started a edit tonight, it will be out shortly after the weekend

Me and Steffen shot a couple of runs in hafjell the other day. nothing special. It tend to become more bull shit then skiing in me and steffen´s edit´s. Sorry for you english speaking people, but I guess it´s not my fault that you can´t speak norwegian.
Tomorrow myself and Steffen is making the trip to Vierli ski resort. They had the Artic Challenge qualifyers there earlier this year and it looked great. I have done my little warm up in Hafjell these last couple of weeks so now im ready for some real skiing.

I got my charger for my camera and my wide angel lense back so look out for a edit from Vierli pretty soon. Oh yeah, we´re picking up Jonny in Oslo as well. sounds like a great weekend.
